Erik Janson is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, composer and music producer.

He is a graduate of UC Berkeley where he studied Rhetoric & Music, and has also studied composition with composer and pianist Bevan Manson.

After spending several years performing with his band in San Francisco, Erik moved back to his native Los Angeles to pursue recording opportunities, and was approached to compose music for film and television.

He composes original music for studio and independent film projects, and custom music for some of the world’s leading national and international ad campaigns, for brands such as General Motors, HSBC, Chevy, Google and others.

Erik has simultaneously released a critically acclaimed indie folk rock album, "Morning In Paradise," featuring 12 original songs that he produced. Songs from his album have been featured and licensed in film, television and commercials, including the film "The Vicious Kind," ABC's "Eli Stone" and "Happy Endings" and General Motors’ national television commercial for the GMC Sierra.

Erik is a versatile composer, known for his around-the-clock work ethic and dedication to his craft. His work spans many genres including orchestral, blues, jazz, folk, pop, rock, gospel, Latin and electronic music.

When not working on music for film and commercials, Erik has been writing and producing his forthcoming recording project, which will feature a piece he recently wrote and recorded with a 30-piece orchestra at Conway Studios in Hollywood.

Erik also just launched his company Collective Artists Custom Music and Publishing. He and his team of composers have been working on a variety of composing projects as well as licensing songs from their catalogue. Check it out here!
